3. Living Mulch:
Cover crops ( crops that cover the ground example beans or sweet potatoes) are planted together with other crops to act as mulch.
- Method: Planting low-growing cover crops between main crops.
- Benefits: Offers weed suppression, conserves soil moisture, and adds nitrogen to the soil.
Types of Mulching:
The types of mulching depends on where the mulch material is laid. Here are some examples of the types of mulching.
1.Surface Mulching:

2. Sheet Mulching (or Composting Mulch):

Vertical mulching is mainly done in sloppy regions. A trench of 30 cm deep and 15 cm wide is done with a vertical interval of 30 cm.
